Warranty
Warranty
Zvelt warrants its recessed shower niches, its Toilet niche and its corner shelves against manufacturing defects, from the sale: three years on the PVD finishes, two years on the baked powder-coated finishes and on brushed stainless steel. The warranty covers the product and its finish; it does not cover installation or wear. Here is what it includes, what it excludes and how to claim it.
Two or three years, depending on the finish
The term depends on the coating and is the same on all thirteen models: three years for the two PVD finishes, two years for the baked powder-coated finishes and for brushed stainless steel. It applies to the coating as well as to the box.
| Finish | Code | Coating | Term |
|---|---|---|---|
| Matte black | B15 | baked powder coating | 2 years |
| Matte white | W15 | baked powder coating | 2 years |
| Glossy white | W100 | baked powder coating | 2 years |
| Matte grey | G15 | baked powder coating | 2 years |
| Brushed stainless steel | BSS | brushed stainless steel, bare | 2 years |
| Mirror | M | mirror finish | 2 years |
| Gold PVD | GPVD | PVD over brushed stainless steel | 3 years |
| Black PVD | BPVD | PVD over brushed stainless steel | 3 years |
What the warranty covers
Zvelt warrants that the product sold conforms to its specifications and that, at the time of sale, it is free of any manufacturing defect. If a manufacturing defect appears within the term that applies to the finish (two or three years), Zvelt may, at its sole discretion, replace the product on a prorated basis at the price then in effect, and reserves the right to have the defect inspected on site by a representative of its choice.
Two conditions: provide proof of purchase, and have followed the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
What the warranty does not cover
- travel, installation, removal and shipping costs, as well as labour, miscellaneous costs, loss of time and materials related to fitting or replacing the product;
- breakage or defects resulting from an accident, a disaster, an act of God, an intense temperature variation, exposure to chemicals or to abrasives of any kind;
- stains caused by certain types of water, alkaline or ferrous;
- breakage or defects due to misuse, abuse, negligence, non-compliant installation, or the removal or addition of parts or equipment;
- direct or indirect damage caused by or resulting from an act of God.
Care, a condition of the warranty
The warranty on the finish does not apply if the product is not rinsed and wiped on a regular basis, as the care guide requires. The warranty is valid only if the recommendations of the care guide for Zvelt niches and other products have been followed. The steps, finish by finish, are in 9 tips for maintaining wall niches.
Making a warranty claim
- Gather the proof of purchase; photos of the defect help the assessment.
- Write to Zvelt through the Contact us page, stating the model, the finish and the purchase date.
- Zvelt assesses the claim, may have the product inspected, then applies the replacement provided by the warranty.
The spec sheets and installation manuals are gathered in the technical documentation.
