When a niche is off the table
Some showers rule a recessed niche out before the conversation even starts. The wall is too shallow. The stall is already tiled, or nobody wants to cut into the studs. So the 4 × 12 in corner shelf steps in, fastening into the angle on walls that are already finished. Nothing gets opened up, and nothing behind the tile is disturbed. Zvelt rates it at up to two tall bottles and a bar of soap across 12 in of length. Three long slots run through the plate.
Reach for it when everything has to live on a single shelf, shampoo, conditioner and soap, with nothing left standing on the shower floor. Lighter load? Or storage you would rather split across two heights? Then the 4 × 8 in is the better fit, with the same depth and thickness, the same fixing detail, four inches shorter. Of Zvelt’s two corner shelves this one is the larger.

Going in with the tile, or after
You get the same product either way, and Zvelt publishes a separate instruction sheet for each case. Tiling at the same time? Leave a grout-free zone of 0.5 in (12 mm) for the tab, then grout over it. On tile that is already laid, shift your marks 0.20 in (5 mm) toward the corner first, then rake the joint out. The 1/16 in tab seats in a 1/16 in joint or wider, so it buries itself in the tile field and the fixing never shows.
You frame nothing, there are no inside corners to tile, and no grout line to pull along an edge. Build the same thing out of ceramic and it has to be assembled inside the shower, then grouted there, so the outcome comes down to the cuts, the layout and the hours behind them.
One caveat on waterproofing. Both instruction sheets stick to thin-set, grout and silicone. Compatibility with a waterproofing membrane is not documented in them. Where the shower is built on a warranted membrane system, clear the installation with Zvelt and with the membrane manufacturer before you start.
Seven finishes, one open question
Brushed stainless steel, matte black, matte white, glossy white, matte grey, black PVD, gold PVD. Seven finishes, and no mirror, which Zvelt does not offer on corner shelves. Over 12 in, the front edge draws one unbroken line across the corner. Nothing else in the shower comes as close to a piece of tapware, and the finish alone decides whether the shelf settles into the tile or cuts across it.
Zvelt warrants the shelf against manufacturing defects. Its own documentation, data sheet as much as instruction sheets, does not state a term, so confirm that before you order. Zvelt manufactures in Boucherville, Quebec.

Clean and rinse with clean water after each use.
- Prolonged contact (30 days or more) with cleaning products (soaps, shampoos, conditioners, etc.) may damage the niche's finish and void the warranty if recommended maintenance is not followed.
- Direct contact with rust-prone metal containers or objects may damage stainless steel, paint, or PVD finish.
Maintenance guide
- Use a damp cloth with mild soap.
- Rinse with clean water after each use.
- Do not use abrasive tools or products.
- Wipe off excess water with a microfiber cloth.
Zvelt Product Warranty:
***The finish warranty will not be applicable if the product is not rinsed and wiped on a regular basis as mentioned in the maintenance guide.
-2 years for paint coating and brushed stainless steel finish.

Zvelt cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damages caused or resulting from fortuitous events, labor costs, miscellaneous expenses, loss of time, materials or other costs relating to the application or replacement of the product or any of its components.
In the event that a manufacturing defect occurs, the purchaser-user must present proof of purchase and have followed the manufacturer's installation instructions.
Zvelt may, at its sole discretion, replace the product pro rata to the then-current price. Zvelt reserves the right to have the defect inspected on-site by a representative of its choice.
This warranty excludes any costs related to travel, installation and/or uninstallation costs and transportation costs.
This warranty does not cover breakages or defects resulting from accidents, disasters, Acts of God, intense temperature variations, exposure to chemicals, abrasives of any kind or stains caused by different types of water (alkaline water or ferrous water).
This warranty does not cover breakages or defects resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, improper installation, removal or addition of parts or equipment.
The warranty is only valid if the user has followed the recommendations in the "Maintenance Guide" for Zvelt kennels and other products. This documentation included in this document is also available on the website www.zvelt.ca
