Forty-eight and a quarter, cut before the board goes up
The rough opening runs 48 1/4 in wide by 12 1/8 in high, the widest in the line, and the wall behind it has to be at least 4 in deep. Settle that with the contractor while the framing is still open. Four feet is framing, not finishing. Everything downstream goes quickly, since the box arrives finished from the factory, no inside corner is left to tile, and the 5/8 in flange picks up the tile cut along the whole run. Build the same width on site instead and you frame it, float it, then tile it in place. One optional step is worth taking: drywall on the sides of the opening, with a waterproofing membrane bonded inside.
Open in the middle, shut at both ends
The 12 × 48 is the widest box Zvelt makes. It measures 48 in across and holds three sections, an open bay at the centre with a closed bay taking each end, the whole run laid out in exact symmetry. Display in the middle. Storage at both ends. Set it over a freestanding tub or along the long wall of a walk-in shower and it covers four feet of wall without a break.
What rides on the doors
Every door carries a storage tray for products and bottles, along with multi-purpose hooks for a razor, a toothbrush, a face cloth. That adds up to two trays and two sets of hooks, more closed storage than any other model in the line. Both doors come off without tools. The patented adjustable “Click-in / Click-out” hinges let them click straight back into place.

Where the finish lands
The steel is 304 stainless, the niche is designed and manufactured in Boucherville, Quebec, and the warranty runs two years. The six finishes are brushed stainless steel, glossy white, matte white, matte black, black PVD and gold PVD. Across 49 1/4 in the finish covers three planes at once, the two solid doors plus the back of the open centre section, and no other format puts that choice so squarely in the room.

Clean and rinse with clean water after each use.
Prolonged contact (30 days or more) with cleaning products such as soaps, shampoos, conditioners, or others may damage the finish of the niche and void the warranty if maintenance recommendations are not followed.
Direct contact with rust-prone metal containers or objects may attack stainless steel, paint or PVD finish.
Maintenance guide
- Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water after each use.
- Do not use abrasive tools or products.
- Wipe off excess water with a microfiber cloth.
Zvelt Product Warranty:
***The finish warranty will not be applicable if the product is not rinsed and wiped on a regular basis as mentioned in the maintenance guide.
-2 years for paint coating and brushed stainless steel finish.
- 3 years for a PVD coating.
Zvelt warrants that, subject to the terms and conditions described below, the product sold conforms to its specifications and that at the time of sale, the product is free from any defects and/or manufacturing faults.
Zvelt cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damages caused or resulting from fortuitous events, labor costs, miscellaneous expenses, loss of time, materials or other costs relating to the application or replacement of the product or any of its components.
In the event that a manufacturing defect occurs, the purchaser-user must present proof of purchase and have followed the manufacturer's installation instructions.
Zvelt may, at its sole discretion, replace the product pro rata to the then-current price. Zvelt reserves the right to have the defect inspected on-site by a representative of its choice.
This warranty excludes any costs related to travel, installation and/or uninstallation costs and transportation costs.
This warranty does not cover breakages or defects resulting from accidents, disasters, Acts of God, intense temperature variations, exposure to chemicals, abrasives of any kind or stains caused by different types of water (alkaline water or ferrous water).
This warranty does not cover breakages or defects resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, improper installation, removal or addition of parts or equipment.
The warranty is only valid if the user has followed the recommendations in the "Maintenance Guide" for Zvelt kennels and other products. This documentation included in this document is also available on the website www.zvelt.ca
This warranty cannot be transferred to a third party.
