Who gets which shelf
A shared bathroom, one shower wall. Every morning brings the same shuffle, one set of bottles stacked in with someone else’s for want of a level of their own. The Ana answers with height. Its body measures 8 in across, narrow enough to pass between two studs without touching the framing, and no other Zvelt model is narrower. It climbs 36 in, so the height gives back what the width gives up. Two shelves break the column into three separate bays, one per person.
Clear heights, bay by bay
The three heights differ. The bottom bay gives 13 1/2 in of clear height and takes the oversized bottles, the middle one 10 1/2 in and the top one 12 in. Both shelves are built in and sloped, with a draining system.
Measurements
- Overall, flange included: 9 1/4 in wide × 37 1/4 in high × 4 in deep
- Recessed body, the part buried in the wall: 8 in wide × 36 in high
- Top bay clear height: 12 in
- Middle bay clear height: 10 1/2 in
- Bottom bay clear height: 13 1/2 in
- Two built-in sloped shelves with a draining system
- Flange: 5/8 in overlap onto the tile, 3/16 in projection
Cutting it in
- Rough opening: 8 1/4 in wide × 36 1/8 in high
- Minimum wall depth: 4 in
An 8 1/4 in opening falls inside one stud bay. You cut drywall, the framing stays put, and the work runs half a day instead of two days on site. Zvelt’s manual adds one optional step it recommends. Line the sides of the opening with drywall, then bond the waterproofing membrane to the inside of the box. The flange then covers the tile cut by 5/8 in all the way around, over the full 36 in run.
Finishes and warranty
Seven finishes cover the Ana: matte black, brushed stainless steel, matte white, glossy white, matte grey, black PVD and gold PVD. The mirror finish is not offered on this model. The manufacturer’s warranty covers manufacturing defects for 3 years on the PVD finishes, and for 2 years on the baked powder-coated ones as well as on brushed stainless steel. Full terms come with the niche, in the installation manual. Zvelt products are designed in Quebec and manufactured in China.

Zvelt recommends cleaning your doghouses with a damp cloth and mild soap. The use of brushes, abrasive cleaners, scrapers, steel wool pads, and metal spray cans can damage the doghouse's surface and should be avoided.
IMPORTANT : Remove soap residue and other cosmetic products between uses and wipe off excess water. Prolonged contact with these products may leave an imprint on the surface. The use of microfiber cloths is recommended. To prevent oxidation, do not allow contact with steel accessories. Use conventional non-abrasive cleaning products. Avoid contact with nail polish remover, hair removal cream, or paint thinner.
Zvelt Product Warranty:
